A failing rooftop air conditioner can turn an East Texas summer trip miserable in a hurry. TrailTech RV diagnoses and repairs RV air conditioners on-site — whether you have a single rooftop unit or a multi-zone ducted system — so you never have to drag your rig to a shop and wait.

Our RVTAA-certified technicians carry the most common parts and test equipment with them, which means many A/C problems are diagnosed and repaired in a single visit.

Air Conditioners — FAQs

Can you fix my RV air conditioner without me coming to a shop?

Yes. We are a fully mobile service — we come to your campsite, home, or wherever your RV is parked within our East Texas service area and repair the unit on-site.

My RV A/C runs but won’t cool. What’s wrong?

The most common causes are a failed run capacitor, a dirty or frozen evaporator coil, low refrigerant from a sealed-system leak, or a failing compressor. We diagnose the exact cause on-site before quoting any repair.

Is it worth repairing an old rooftop unit or should I replace it?

It depends on the failure. Capacitors, fan motors, and thermostats are usually worth repairing. Sealed-system (compressor/refrigerant) failures often make full replacement the better value — we’ll give you honest numbers on both.
