RV Water Heater Cleaning & Flush

More hot water, longer tank life — professional flush and cleaning.

Sediment and scale build up in every RV water heater, robbing capacity, causing rumbling, and shortening tank life. TrailTech RV performs a complete water-heater flush and cleaning at your site.

For Suburban units we also service the anode rod, which protects the tank from corrosion — a small service that prevents an expensive failure.

Water Heater Cleaning — FAQs

What’s the difference between a flush and replacing the anode rod?

A flush removes loose sediment from the tank; the anode rod is a sacrificial part (in Suburban tanks) that corrodes instead of your tank. Both should be done regularly — we handle them together.

My hot water smells bad. Will a flush fix it?

Often yes. Odor usually comes from sediment and bacteria in the tank. A flush plus a fresh anode (and a sanitizing treatment if needed) typically resolves it.

Does an Atwood/Dometic heater have an anode rod?

No — Atwood/Dometic tanks are aluminum and use a plastic drain plug instead of an anode. We still flush them; only Suburban steel tanks use an anode rod.
