Losing hot water on the road is more than an inconvenience. TrailTech RV repairs gas, electric, and gas/electric RV water heaters on-site, including Suburban, Atwood/Dometic, and Truma systems.

We track down the real cause — ignition, gas supply, heating element, thermostat, or control board — instead of throwing parts at it, so you get a lasting fix.

Water Heaters — FAQs

My RV water heater works on gas but not electric (or vice versa). Why?

Each mode has its own heating path. Electric-only failures usually point to the heating element, the electric thermostat, or the ECO switch; gas-only failures point to the gas valve, igniter, or burner. We test both circuits to isolate the fault.

Do you service tankless RV water heaters like the Truma AquaGo?

Yes, we service both conventional tank units (Suburban, Atwood/Dometic) and tankless/on-demand systems such as the Truma AquaGo.

How often should the water heater be flushed?

At least once a year. Sediment buildup causes rumbling, reduced capacity, and premature element/anode failure. We offer a dedicated water-heater cleaning and flush service.
